§ 62-31. Established.

(a)

Speed limits established. Pursuant O.C.G.A. §§ 40-6-183 and 40-6-376 the Uniform Rules of the Road Act, authorizing local authorities to alter lawful speed limits, based on an engineering and traffic investigation the following speed zones are established:

ON-SYSTEM

S.R. 7/US 41 from a point 0.30 miles south of Collins Road, the south city limits of Unadilla, (M.P. 15.91) to Collins Road (M.P. 16.21), a distance of 0.30 miles, to be zoned for 50 miles per hour.

S.R. 7/US 41 from Collins Road (M.P. 16.21) to Powell Road (M.P. 17.00), a distance of 0.79 miles, to be zoned for 40 miles per hour.

S.R. 7/US 41 from Powell Road (M.P. 17.00) to Third Street (M.P. 17.71), a distance of 0.71 miles, to be zoned for 30 miles per hour.

S.R. 7/US 41 from Third Street (M.P. 17.71) to McWhorter Street (M.P. 18.36), a distance of 0.65 miles, to be zoned for 40 miles per hour.

S.R. 7/US 41 from McWhorter Street (M.P. 18.36) to a point 0.25 miles north of Elko Road, the north city limits of Unadilla (M.P. 18.69), a distance of 0.33 miles, to be zoned for 50 miles per hour.

S.R. 230 from a point 50 feet west of Akins Street, the west city limits of Unadilla, (M.P. 20.60) to a point 500 feet west of West Avenue (M.P. 21.12), a distance of 0.52 miles, to be zoned for 45 miles per hour.

S.R. 230 from a point 500 feet west of West Avenue (M.P. 21.12) to S.R. 7 (M.P. 21.60), a distance of 0.48 miles, to be zoned for 35 miles per hour.

S.R. 230 School Zone from a point 300 feet west of West Avenue (M.P. 21.15) to a point 300 feet east of School Avenue (M.P. 21.33), a distance of 0.18 miles, to be zoned for 25 miles per hour. From 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. School days only.

S.R. 230 from S.R. 7 (M.P. 21.60) to a point 100 feet east of Cherry Street (M.P. 21.85), a distance of 0.25 miles, to be zoned for 30 miles per hour.

S.R. 230 from a point 100 feet east of Cherry Street (M.P. 21.85) to Third Street (M.P. 22.14), a distance of 0.29 miles, to be zoned for 35 miles per hour.

S.R. 230 from Third Street (M.P. 22.14) to a point 50 feet west of Ransom Road, the east city limits of Unadilla (M.P. 22.69), a distance of 0.55 miles, to be zoned for 45 miles per hour.

S.R. 401/I-75 from the south city limits of Unadilla (M.P. 14.66) to the north city limits of Unadilla (M.P. 16.78), a distance of 2.12 miles, to be zoned for 70 miles per hour.

OFF-SYSTEM

Beacham Avenue from S.R. 230 to S.R. 7/US 41, a distance of 0.83 miles, to be zoned for 30 miles per hour.

Cherry Street from the south city limits of Unadilla to Ronsom Road, a distance of 0.39 miles, to be zoned for 45 miles per hour.

Cherry Street from Ronsom Road to S.R. 230, a distance of 0.69 miles, to be zoned for 35 miles per hour.

Crumpler Avenue from S.R. 7 to S.R. 7, a distance of 1.05 miles, to be zoned for 25 miles per hour.

East Railroad Street from the west city limits of Unadilla to Ronsom Road, a distance of 0.84 miles, to be zoned for 40 miles per hour.

East Railroad Street from Ronsom Road to First Street, a distance of 0.52 miles, to be zoned for 30 miles per hour.

Third Street from West Railroad Street to S.R. 230, a distance of 0.52 miles, to be zoned for 30 miles per hour.

West Railroad Street from S.R. 7 to S.R. 7, a distance of 0.63 miles, to be zoned for 30 miles per hour.

Signs to be erected by the city.

Penalty. Any person convicted of a violation of this section shall be punished as provided in section 1-12
