§ 34-33. Application for well permit on unimproved property and improved property of one acre or more.

  • Any person, firm, or corporation desiring to dig a well on unimproved property or improved property of one acre or more in size where the well is for agricultural or garden use only within the corporate limits of the city shall first apply in writing to the mayor and council, setting forth in the application information concerning the location of the proposed well, anticipated depth of the proposed well, and the proposed uses of the well. No person, firm, or corporation shall dig nor shall such person, firm or corporation hire, employ, or contract with another to dig a well within the corporate limits of the city without a well permit from the mayor and council as herein provided.
