§ 50-32. Placement for collection; frequency; limitations.

  • (a)

    Placement generally. All refuse, ashes, garbage and trash shall be placed in the polycart for collection. The polycart shall be placed at the street-side for collection purposes.

    (b)

    Collection schedule. The collection schedule shall be announced by the mayor and council for the city. If the polycart is not near the street-side at collection time, this will indicate no service is needed.

    (c)

    Collection for physically incapacitated persons. Any person physically incapacitated so as to prevent such person from placing the polycart at street-side for collection purposes may obtain non-street-side collection by obtaining the approval of the mayor and council.

    (d)

    Prohibited wastes. Industrial waste, large animals over 30 pounds, or waste from construction, demolition, landscaping or processing operations will not be collected, transported or disposed of by the city but such waste collection, transportation and disposal shall be by the owners and/or generators of such waste or animals.
